Malicious Codes Injected into Crypto Wallets

Threat actors are targeting users of Atomic and Exodus wallets by injecting malicious codes that redirect funds to the attacker’s wallet. The attack is part of a chain of software supply chain attacks against crypto users. The origin of the attack is usually from developers unknowingly installing compromised npm packages, such as “pdf-to-office,” which contains hidden malicious codes. These codes scan the user’s device for installed crypto wallets and intercept transactions.
